Rants and Raves from Southeastern Wyoming...where the deer and the antelope really DO play...

Kent Tile Fire Project

Lisa and I found this stove on Craigslist.  It was rusty, but everything but the tiles were there, including a working blower motor (well, it worked once we removed the bird's nest from the motor housing).  The enamel is in pretty good shape, with just a few chips.

We'll get the heavy pieces sand-blasted, then re-coat them.  Then, we'll finish rust removal from the stove body, and assemble the stove on the new pad.

This will look similar to this:

When we're finished...

Got the enamel pieces all cleaned up.  Will patch the chips 2 chips w/ black porcelain repair.

Back has been prepped for painting...using stove spray paint...

...finished...

Update 10/2011:

The stove has been completely re-assembled, and is burning beautifully.  The base was sand-blasted by the good folks out at Palomino Industries.  If you need sand-blasting done in the Cheyenne area, go there.  They took great care of me.
